HILLBILLY BIODIESEL, GREASEL AND GREASEOLINE

Can a gas car be run on used cooking oil?

  Copyright 2007 Greaseoline Plus.

Well, those damn city people have made alternative diesel so complicated that it's hard for simple country folk to understand. Really, it can be less complicated than a country still and easier than getting Becky Sue into the hay loft. The most important wrinkle is making it safe for your tractor, truck, or pickup. And that's what we aim to tell ya in simple country English. I ain't meaning to put down Yankees and I ain't one of them what thinks that damn and Yankee is one word (specially since I'm living where North meets South). But a true Yankee is just like a quickie, except a fella does it when he's alone. And a guy doin' that may be too distracted to give you the information straight. Hell, it ain't nothing but mixin up a few things, simpler than Granny's homemade possum pie. Why, one type is as easy as tossing some kerosene into used cooking oil and adding some do-dads that you probably got laying around the farm. And the Hillbilly method is cheaper, Y'all know we ain't got no choice but to make it that way. Our Hillbilly fuel will even run some furnaces and oil heaters. Yankees just complicate everything, but here's a sample of the kinds of simple questions that Y'all should be asking, especially concerning the safety of your diesel engine.

  • Which vehicles are safe for biodiesel and greasel and which ain't?
  • How to protect your diesel engine when using alternative fuels?
  • What mistakes to avoid?
  • Where's the simpler info on all major methods of Greasel, Greaseoline and Biodiesel?
  • What's the easiest ways to begin using Greasel/Greaseoline fuel?
  • Definitions of terms and explanations of methodology.
  • How to avoid the problems that come with oil based systems?
  • What you need to build your fuel system? (we give details)
  • What conversions to put (or not put) on your pickup or tractor?
  • How to easily, and very cheaply, add a method to remove carbon deposits to protect your engine? Very important.
  • How to avoid the pitfalls of used cooking oil?
  • How to increase the mileage of a gas vehicle with a small, fast, addition to your engine and/or a cheap fuel additive?
  • How to build your greasel/greaseoline conversion equipment so that it can be used to process more than one type of system?
  • What is water injection and why is it so cheap and easy?

Where to get explanations on the three major methods:

  1. The Alcohol/lye Biodiesel method, it's advantages, complications and disadvantages (no conversion on car).
  2. The Straight Oil method (Greasel) which has conversions on the car.
  3. The easy and cheap Oil Solvent/Greaseoline method (or Hillbilly method, which is our specialty and no conversions on car). And this last one can sometimes be built with things laying around your pole barn and it's also a type of heating fuel.

Answer: Get the explanations from us Hillbillies.

Lots o' folks who convert to biodiesel or greasel later regret their actions for many problems can result including the total destruction of the vehicle. Some methods convert the car to the fuel and others convert used or fresh cooking oil and need no changes to the car. So the word conversion can mean converting the car or the oil. But danger to your vehicle can result if specific safety measures are not taken. See Below:

  • Some vehicles can not be converted without disastrous results.
  • Some methods of conversion can ruin the engine slowly.
  • Some methods of conversion would work but proper removal of water from the fuel is not accomplished, causing problems later.
  • Some methods of conversion work well but need special attention for the first month.
  • Some methods of conversion create heavy carbon deposits and sooting and both can ruin your engine unless dealt with.
  • Some methods of conversion clog parts of your engine.
  • Some types of cooking oil can damage your engine even if it is unused before being put into the tank. ('possum grease is definitely out, even if you have a large supply on hand).
  • Most methods of filtering used oil for Biodiesel, Greaseoline and Greasel, are inadequate and can cause problems later (sometimes very serious problems).
  • Specific conditions must be observed to prevent cold weather failure. (Just in case y're unlucky enough to have to go up north).
  • We tell you how to avoid coking and sooting your engine.

We address all these problems and more with simple country talk, not a lot o' fancy (make me important) big words.

Many studies have proven that alternative fuels eventually ruin an engine through coking, and most alternative fuel information sources ignore this. We face it, and we are the only ones we know of who can give you a way to address this problem.

We ain't trying to scare you away from using biodiesel or greasel in your diesel engine, in fact, we recommend that you use one of these options. Converting to biodiesel or greasel can save you massive amounts of money on fuel, usually more than 80% of your present costs. It is also wonderful for the environment. I wouldn't trade my Greaseoline truck in without getting another and the farm wouldn't be the same without the Biodiesel tractor. You can do this and many people have. With just a few tips you can accomplish the conversion and protect your vehicle from the many problems that occur. You can avoid the tragedy of ruining your diesel. And remember, some systems do not require any conversion to the vehicle because you only convert the oil. But we'll tell you a lot about all the systems and just about everything about the hillbilly methods.

In most cases you can do this easier than catching a greased pig and for a surprisingly small one time lay out. Or if you want to share the equipment you can divide the cost between you and your friends and this is also easy. Some people build an oil conversion plant and sell fuel to others for a profit. Or you can trade white lightening for fuel (watch out for revenuers).

Many web sites can tell you how to make your biodiesel or greasel scheme come true but most of them, that I see, do not give enough safety precautions. Some biodiesel and/or greasel people are zealots and want to believe that biodiesel/greasel is safe for all vehicles and will erroneously tell you that it is safe for every diesel engine. Others have built a system that will work for a year or two and are not yet aware that they are slowly coking (ruining) their engine. Shucks, we're just hillbillies, but we got the cure f'r that.

FBUILD YOUR SYSTEM BUT BUILD IT SAFELY.

We can tell you exactly how to do this and which vehicles might be damaged by the process. We only charge $35 and that's less than a weeks supply of either White Lightning or Tequila. Do you want to build a system and find out later that it has ruined your vehicle? We can give you a great deal of protective information and you will be happy that you spent this small sum. Even Yankees would like our simple easy approach. And the Hillbilly method is far easier and cheaper than the other ways. Everyone knows we're famous shade tree mechanics.

For your $35 you will get a book with exact directions on how to build the most versatile kind of oil conversion plant. One that is safe to use with the major methods of making greasel., greaseoline and/or biodiesel. The parts for our plant are so easy and cheap that many handymen and good o' boys would have the majority of the materials at hand. We will tell you which pumps and filters to use that will remove water from the oil/fuel mix (this is vital). Which conversions to build on to your car are detailed (if you go with that option). How to cheaply build our tried and true method to clean your engine from contaminants is also explained. Not having this system can cause the slow destruction of your engine but it only costs between $5 and $40 to add to your vehicle. We'll tell you how hillbillies run diesel in gas engines and cooking oil in heaters.

Best of all you get real hillbilly technology which is cheaper and easier than most other options. Our one method, is as simple as mixing some solvents into the oil and filtering it properly. Other options are easier than Yankee web sites let on. We also offer a hybrid system that mixes different technology for more versatility. (Hybrid not inbred, you dip stick) And, for a tiny extra sum,  we will give you a phone number for (hillbilly) technical assistance. (Not set up yet.)

Not much more needs to be said. Do it the country way. We want you to make your conversions safely and we will help you for less than the cost of a tank of ordinary diesel fuel. Due to many unexpected circumstances, nobody can guarantee a perfect system, or a perfectly safe car for that matter. But, you owe it to your vehicle to build the safest system you can. Order your Hillbilly Greaseoline/Greasel Safety Info Book now, and you can soon be saving massive amounts of money on fuel.
